Baltimore, Maryland - February 03, 2018: A mural for Freddie Gray is painted on the location where he was arrested in April 2015. His death while incarcerated by the Baltimore City Police sparked both peaceful protests and violent reactions in the city, most notably the Sandtown Winchester neighborhood where he was arrested. Since his arrest, Baltimore's homicide rate has spiked to record levels. The Baltimore Ceasefire movement, which held its third weekend of events promoting no gun violence in Baltimore February 2-4, is one of the peace movements that came about after Freddie Gray's death.
