Gettysburg, Pennsylvania - April 02, 2016: "The Angle at Gettysburg," is the largest diorama at The Civil War Tails at the Homestead Diorama Museum in Gettysburg. It depicts Pickett’s Charge in Gettysburg, features 1,900 clay cat soldiers and measures 5.5 ft x 7.5 ft.
Twins Rebecca and Ruth Brown opened Civil War Tails in Gettysburg inside a former girl's orphanage dorm. They live above their museum which showcases a collection of hand-made battle dioramas as depicted by small clay cats -- which they make.
The country has between 28,000 and 35,000, many of them small and labors of love.
