Washington, D.C. - November 19, 2016: The bathroom in Bad Saint is wallpapered with copies of punk zines. Co-owner Nick Pimentel grew up in the DC punk scene in the 80's and 90's. During summer family trips to the Philippines Pimentel befriended members of the Filipino punk scene and would trade zines from each others countries via air mail. The bathroom wallpaper is a collage of pages from the zines he collected in his youth.

D.C. Filipino restaurant Bad Saint was recently named the second best new restaurant in America by Bon Appetite.
