Baltimore, Maryland - February 03, 2018: A sign outside the orange painted aquaponics green house at the Tubman House lot 2 farm space speaks to the neighborhood's decline, a particularly pointed message during the second day of the third Baltimore Ceasefire weekend. The farm space is located a block from where Freddie Gray was arrested in April 2015. When finished it which will grow fresh fruits and vegetables, house chickens for eggs, and fish. The group touts the farm spaces as an answer to the Sandtown Winchester neighborhood's food desert designation. The area is also known as the most incarcerated neighborhood in the state of Maryland. Groups like the Tubman House are trying to curb the systemic causes of violence in Baltimore by lifting up the communities.
