Shark Blood

Dr. Helen Dooley, assistant professor comparative immunology at University of Maryland Baltimore school of Medicine works with nurse sharks at the Institute of Marine Biology and Environmental Technology in the Aquaculture Research Center in Baltimore's Inner Harbor. She takes blood samples of Frank the nurse shark Monday April 23, 2018, to look at his antibody responses to the Salmonid Alpha Virus vaccine he's been treated with. The Salmonid Alpha Virus has the potential to wipe out an entire fish farm.
