"This is where I used to play football," said the current IBF Junior Lightweight Champion. He grew up with an unstable home life. His father was in and out of jail and both of his parents used drugs. Gervonta lived with grandparents and had stints in a group home. Boxing and Coach Calvin were the stable thing in his life.
