Monroe is chair of property commission for the church and the middle man between the local power utility PEPCO and University Park Community Solar, LLC, the 35 member corporation that owns the solar panels. Brosch is president of the University Park Community Solar, LLC. The solar panels on top of the church produces an estimated 25% more energy than the church needs per year. Members of the LLC who helped pay for the solar panels receive dividends based on the money they invested, but no energy.
