Baltimore, Maryland - March 07, 2014: Third-graders at Henderson-Hopkins jog during P.E. in the school's new gymnasium. Eventually the gymnasium is one of the school's facility that will be open for members of the community to use. Old, condemned rowhomes slated to be razed sit across the street from the brand new gymnasium.
Henderson-Hopkins is a K-8 community school in East Baltimore. The school's library, gymnasium, auditorium, Early Childhood Center, and family resource center are open to the surrounding community. The school is funded through a partnership with Baltimore City, Johns Hopkins and the Harry and Jeanette Weinberg Foundation.
