Alisa's mother, Deborah Baer, was the original Car Seat Lady who, in the 1980's, started a car seat installation class in the driveway of her home in Pikesville, Maryland for new parents. Now in her 30's Alisa, and her childhood friend Emily Levine, who also moved to Manhattan, expanded the Car Seat Lady business to New York.
