A giant in the genomic medicine world, Dr. Claire Fraser-Liggett, of Clarksville, director of the Institute for Genome Sciences at the University of Maryland School of Medicine was recently inducted in the Maryland Women's Hall of Fame. She primarily works with microorganisms that live in the human gastro intestinal tract, and studies how they effect such things as obesity.
