Gettysburg, Pennsylvania - February 06, 2017: Ron Krajewski kisses Metro Meteor during a painting session in the studio space adjacent to the the retired racehorse's stall at the Rickety Bridge Farm in Gettysburg, Pa.
Knee injuries put Metro Meteor in an early retirement, and left him unridable as a pleasure horse. Noticing his horse's affinity for head bobbing, he put a paint brush in his mouth and canvas in front. Metro Meteor's paintings sold. Painting helped save his life, and helped save other horses' lives, too. Half the money from his paintings goes to New Vocations Racehorse Adoption Program and Gentle Giants Draft Horse Rescue.
