Baltimore, Maryland - December 13, 2015: A memorial marks the spot where a person was murdered on N. Fulton Street in the Sandtown neighborhood of Baltimore Sunday December 13, 2015. A neighbor said the family came out to celebrate what would have been his 24th birthday. Along the walls of shuttered rowhomes are signs that say "We Must Stop Killing Each Other."

The climate in Sandtown remains somewhat tepid during the first trial of Gray's arresting officers, Officer William G. Porter.
