After being offered a spot at the Clown College which funneled talent into the circus, he phoned his dad and told him he was dropping his classes and, in effect, running away to join the circus. His dad approved. .Greg May, a Columbia-based variety entertainer, photographed while entertaining sick children at Johns Hopkins Hospital Wednesday July 19, 2006, as part of a program put on through the Big Apple Circus Clown Care program.
