  • June 26, 2007...There's a lot of really crappy things about taking an early flight. Of course, waking up at 4:30AM to make a 7:00AM flight sucks. The security lines run slower slower because not all the guards are on duty yet. That day, the food I had was horrible. And when you spill coffee, while trying to navigate through the narrow walkways of a passenger jet, lugging a big-ol carryon suitcase, weighed down with camera gear, in the left hand, and bearing an awkwardly stuffed backpack, that hits the face and shoulders of everyone to my right, it really hurts. I appreciate AirTran's effort to reach out to their customers with free, self serve coffee right before the terminal, but I can't imagine paying for lids would be that much more expensive. All I gotta say is thank goodness for the nice morning light!
